In response to emerging ridership trends, effective Monday, November 2nd, 2009, the Violet Shuttle route will be modified to reach new businesses and provide convenient stops along a new route.

All of the Violet Shuttle stops between Montague/Old Oakland to Technology/McCarthy will continue to be served.  Plus new stops will be made on Holger Way between Zanker and North First Street.

Because of these changes, the Violet Shuttle stop at Montague & Trade Zone will no longer be served, as well as service to South Milpitas Boulevard, due to low ridership.

New businesses along this enhanced Violet Shuttle route include:
Fairchild Imaging,  Olympus, Advantel, West Coast Precision, Micrel, Flextronics, DeVry University,  BAL Labs, Ericsson, Force 10, Renesas, Brocade, and Novellus.
