Good News Increase in Shuttle Ridership

All the data has been compiled from the past fiscal year regarding the ACE Great America Shuttles.  The data shows an increase in ridership and a few of the highlights are below.  The shuttles are a very important part of riding ACE and they allow people to get from the station to work.

- ACE Shuttle ridership increased by 10% for the second consecutive month, comparing data to the same months from a year ago.

- ACE Shuttles averaged 832 passengers per day, a 10% increase over June 2009

- Violet Shuttle ridership increased 9% over Fiscal Year 2009 because of a routing change that was implemented in November 2009

New Great America Shuttle Buses

I had a great opportunity on Wednesday to go with ACE staff and our partners at VTA to view our new Great America shuttle buses.  The new shuttles are propane powered, thus reducing emissions and improving your carbon footprint.  It is great to know that many of our passengers are now using a combination of bike, train and propane powered shuttles to get to work.

Important Survey

Please read the message below regarding surveys from our Operations Supervisor John Giovannoni.  This is especially important for those who use our shuttles.

Thursday March 13, 2008, all morning trains will have survey’s on them to fill out. This is extremely important that they be filled out and turned in before departing the train, especially if you take any connecting shuttle with the ACE trains. This is very important for the funding end of the shuttles.
