Progress

ACE passengers who board at the Stockton Cabral Station will be pleased to know that construction is nearly complete on the parking and traffic circulation improvements.  Within the next three or so weeks the landscape team will be completing their task of making the site look, well, green, and the clock tower team will be making sure the clock is lighted and displaying the correct time.  Hope you like the improvements!

Stockton Station Parking

Final preparations are underway to get all temporary parking issues resolved related to the Cabral Station Improvements construction by Friday, July 10.  As you know, general public parking directly adjacent to the Stockton platform has been relocated to the first parking lot south of Weber Avenue.  The final stage of relocation – those spaces for ACE employees and accessible vehicles – will be completed by Friday.

Beginning Monday, July 13, vehicle access to the station at Weber Avenue and Channel Street will be suspended for all vehicles; demolition and construction will begin at that time.  Official accessible spaces are now located along the eastern edge of the first parking lot (between Weber Avenue and Main Street).

Thank you for your patience during this exciting time of construction.  Please feel free to email Thomas with any questions.

Stockton ACE Station Temporary Parking Change

UPDATE 7/7/09: Additional parking is available in lot 1 along the fence on the westside of the lot.  Contact John Giovannoni for questions.

SJRRC is excited to announce the start of construction for the new Cabral Station Improvements.  Beginning July 6, 2009, Stockton’s Cabral Station will undergo a massive revitalization effort that will include the construction of a new entryway off Aurora Street, reconfigured traffic circulation and parking, and a clock tower feature.  During construction, which is scheduled to last through February 2010, circulation through the station block will be closed, and parking within the lot between Weber Avenue and Main Street will be shared between passengers, buses, and ADA vehicles.  Please see the attached flyer for more information on temporary parking.  Contact Thomas Reeves at thomas@acerail.com for more information
