For the bus 3911 and 3901 in the morning, after picking passengers up at the Stockton station, unless there is anyone on the bus getting off the bus at the stations downline, the bus driver will not stop and pick up any passengers elsewhere along the line until they get to San Jose. AMTRAK will accept ACE tickets on these routes. The AMTRAK bus operator will collect one-way tickets and validate multi-ride tickets by writing the bus route number and date. Please contact ACE customer service at 1-800-411-RAIL for any questions.
At the conclusion of the 30 day public comment period, the Rail Commission approved the suspension of the 4th round trip train, effective November 2, 2009. With an average of 50 passengers one way and a cost of nearly $800,000 annually, it is not cost effective in these economic conditions to operate this train. It is important to note that the 4th round trip train will be reinstated once economic conditions improve.
Would you like to win a free year of transit? All you have to do is participate in the Dump-The Pump Video Contest. The first 25 qualifying video submissions will receive a $25 VISA cash card. The next San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission board meeting is August 7th at 9:00am and the meeting will be broadcast live online. Please click here to find out how to register to view the broadcast. If you have any questions please contact Thomas Reeves.
